Queer Ascension Day Hike in Jena on Thursday, May 14, 2026
We cordially invite you again to our traditional Queer Ascension Day Hike.
Once again this year, we want to organize a queer hike with you on Ascension Day. The queer hike is intended to be a safe space for queer people and allies to exchange ideas. With us, you can be whoever you want - but discrimination has no place here.
We invite all interested people, organizations, initiatives and alliances who feel part of the LGBTIAQ+ community to join us - we look forward to seeing you!
Even if the paths are not very demanding, we recommend sturdy shoes or weatherproof clothing in case the weather is not so nice.
Our walking pace will be leisurely (so that we can also enjoy the view) and is therefore suitable for all fitness levels.

After our hike, we’ll wrap up the day with a relaxed barbecue.

Whether you already know each other or are new to the group—just come check it out, drop by, get to know us. There’s room here for meeting new people, connecting, and simply having a good time together. 💛
Food and drinks
Food will be provided: rolls and sausages, steaks, grilled cheese. There will be salads, and vegetarian options are also available.
We would appreciate a small contribution toward the costs.
You’re also welcome to bring your own food for the grill (especially special items)—you can even drop it off beforehand (by arrangement)
Drinks: 2 cases of beer are available, along with non-alcoholic beverages such as Coke, Fanta, Sprite, water, juices, etc.
The following is also available for mixed drinks: 2 bottles of Aperol, sparkling wine, rum, vodka, and wine
